5 mal Schuh-Inspiration für alle Sommeroutfits

Schuhe! Unser aller Leidenschaft, um nicht zu sagen Obsession, und das Accessoire Nummer 1, um ein Outfit abzurunden, aufzuwerten, zu vervollkommnen. Vielleicht erinnerst du dich noch an die Sex and the City-Folge, in der Carrie ihre Manolos nicht an der Tür stehen lassen will – denn schließlich ist das ein kompletter Look. Mit den richtigen Schuhen wird das Outfit elegant-glamourös, sportlich-lässig oder zum trendigen Streetstyle. Das ist auch der Grund für einen Schuhschrank, der einem unbedarften Beobachter vielleicht überfüllt erscheinen mag. Doch natürlich braucht es für jeden Anlass das passende Schuhwerk, bequem und schick, praktisch und weniger praktisch, Sommer und Winter: da sammelt sich also einiges an. Aber kennst du das, dass du doch meistens zu ein, zwei Paaren greifst, vielleicht auch, weil sie gerade bereit stehen? Um ein bisschen Abwechslung in die Schuhauswahl für den Sommer zu bringen, gibt es hier meine 5 schönsten Sommerschuhe plus Ideen zum Kombinieren!
Der lässige Heel: Keilabsatz
Strandparty-Feeling in einem Schuh: Wedges sind zurück und liegen gerade wieder stark im Trend, vor allem in der vorne geschlossenen Variante und mit Schnürbändern. Ich liebe die Kreuzung aus Eleganz und Strand-Chic, die den Keilabsatz sowohl in der City als auch für Garten- und Grillpartys tragbar machen. Da Wedges dich zwar wie Heels größer wirken lassen, aber nicht ganz so “dressy” sind, mag ich sie am liebsten zu kurzen Sommerkleidern oder sogar Safari-inspirierten Outfits aus Leinenshorts und Blusen in Erdtönen.
Stilvoll, sexy, Sandaletten
Der erwachsene und seriösere Cousin der Wedges: Sandaletten gibt es in so vielen verschiedenen Varianten, Absatzhöhen, Farben, Materialien – hach, am liebsten hätte ich alle! Weil dann mein Schuhschrank aber endgültig aus allen Nähten platzen würde, setze ich am liebsten auf klassische “Strappy Sandals” mit Blockabsatz (einfach am bequemsten, vor allem auf Rasen!) in neutralen Farben wie beige, weiß und schwarz. Perfekt für Sommerhochzeiten, Taufen und sonstige festliche Anlässe. Ich liebe sie vor allem zu fließenden Midikleidern, langen Jumpsuits oder um im Alltag einen Jeans-und-T-Shirt-Look aufzuwerten.
Sommerlich bequem: Espadrilles
Trage ich im Alltag doch meistens Sneakers, ist es vielleicht ungewöhnlich, dass die hier nicht auftauchen. Doch Sneaker sind nicht per se Sommerschuhe – zu schnell bekommt man darin schwitzige Füße. Trotzdem brauchen wir alle ein Paar bequeme und irgendwo funktionale Alltagstreter. Bekannt vor allem aus dem französischen Luxushaus Chanel, sind Espadrilles der Inbegriff des tragbaren und relaxten Sommerschuhs und ich habe sie diese Saison für mich entdeckt (wie gesagt, Sneakermädchen). Auf Anhieb fällt mir kein Look ein, zu dem sie nicht passen könnten! Meine persönlichen Lieblingskombis sind Espadrilles mit kurzen Playsuits, leichten Sommerröcken in Mini- oder Midilänge oder auch zu weiten Culottes und angesagten Bermuda-Shorts.
Zeitlos einfach: Sandalen
Wenn ich in ein Paar Sandalen schlüpfe, ist für mich so richtig Sommer. T-Shirt, Leinenshorts, Sandalen – fertig ist der easy Sommerlook zum Barbecue mit Freunden oder einem entspannten Stadtbummel. Am liebsten kombiniere ich Sandalen daher zu sportlich-legeren Outfits, zum Beispiel Jeans-Shorts oder lockere Hosen. Wichtig für Sandalen: Gut sitzende Riemchen und eine gepolsterte Sohle, um die bequemsten der Sommerschuhe auch wirklich komfortabel zu machen – nichts ist schlimmer als Blasen durch schlecht sitzendes Schuhwerk, und das nicht nur im Sommer.
Der Joker: Mules
Ich liebe Mules total, egal ob mit oder ohne Absatz, weil sie eine geniale Zwischenlösung sind. Nicht ganz offen, nicht ganz geschlossen passen sie vielleicht sogar zu sommerlichen Bürolooks, auf jeden Fall zu Kleidern, hervorragend zu Jeans und sogar zum Bikini! Wenn ich nicht weiß, welche Schuhe ich tragen soll, sind Mules (fast) immer die Antwort. Deshalb empfehle ich sie in neutralen Tönen und am besten mit zulaufender Spitze, denn dann lässt auch die flache Variante deine Beine länger wirken. Mules solltest du dir nur aus Echtleder zulegen, um die Füße auch bei höheren Temperaturen atmen zu lassen.

Shoes! We’re all so passionate about shoes – or should I say obsessed with – and and they are the number 1 accessory to top off an outfit. Perhaps you remember the Sex and the City episode in which Carrie doesn't want to leave her Manolos at the door – it's a complete look, after all. With the right shoes, your outfit becomes elegant and glamorous, sporty and casual, or a trendy street style. Reason enough to fill your shoe cabinet to an extent that may seem excessive to an unaware observer. But of course you need the right footwear for every occasion, comfortable and chic, practical and… slightly less practical, summer and winter – there just is a lot to accumulate. I don’t know about you, but I do catch myself reaching for one or two pairs again and again, maybe simply because they are already standing in my hallway. My goal is to bring a bit of variety into my summer shoe choices, so here are my 5 most beautiful summer shoes plus some ideas on how to wear them!
The casual heels: wedges
Beach party feeling in a shoe: wedges are back and very much in vogue again, especially the closed style with laces to wrap them around your ankles. I love that they easily combine elegance and beach chic, which makes wedges the perfect heel for wearing in the city as well as to garden and barbecue parties. Since wedges like heels give you that height boost but at the same time are not quite as dressy, I like pairing them with short summer dresses or even safari-inspired outfits consisting of linen shorts and a summer blouse in an earthy tone.
Stylish, sexy, high-heeled sandals
The wedges’ grown-up and slightly more serious cousin: sandals come in so many different styles, heel heights, colors, materials – oh, I wish I could have them all! However, in this case my shoe cabinet would ultimately be bursting at the seams, so that’s why I restrict myself to the classic strappy sandals with a block heel (they’re simply the most comfortable, especially when walking on lawn!) in neutral colors such as beige, white, or black. This style of shoe is just perfect for summer weddings, christenings, and other festive occasions. In everyday life, I love pairing them with flowing midi dresses, long jumpsuits or to enhance a minimalistic jeans and t-shirt look.
Summer comfort: espadrilles
For me as a sneakers kind of girl, it’s unusual to not include them in a footwear guide. However, trainers for me are not a summer shoe in a narrow sense – you’ll get sweaty feet far too quickly when the thermometer climbs up. Nevertheless, we all need a pair of comfortable and somewhat functional everyday shoes. Known particularly well from the French luxury house Chanel, espadrilles are the epitome of wearable and relaxed summer shoes and I have only discovered them this season (as I said, I usually am a sneaker girl). However, I do already love espadrilles because off the cuff I can't think of any look that they wouldn't go with! Personally, my favorite combo are espadrilles with short playsuits, with light summer skirts in mini or midi lengths, or with wide culottes or trendy Bermuda shorts respectively.
Timelessly simple: sandals
Whenever I put on a pair of sandals, I feel like summer’s really here. A t-shirt, linen shorts, sandals – et voilà, you’ll have a quick and easy summer look for a barbecue with friends or a relaxed stroll through the city. I prefer to combine sandals with casual, sporty outfits, such as jeans shorts or loose pants. If you’re looking for the perfect pair, remember to go for a style with well-fitting straps and a padded sole to make the most comfortable of summer shoes comfortable for real. Nothing is worse than getting blisters from poorly fitting shoes, and not just in summer!
The Joker: Mules
I totally love mules, whether with or without heels, because they are a brilliant in-between. Neither open nor closed, they may even go well with summer office looks, and they’ll definitely pair beautifully with dresses, excellently with jeans and even with swimwear! If I don't know which shoes to wear, mules are (almost) always the answer. Therefore I recommend to get them in neutral tones and preferably with a pointy toe, because in this shape even the flat version will elongate your legs. Only opt for mules made of real leather, though, to allow your feet to breathe even in summer heat.
