The color white has so many meanings: depending on from which cultural background you look at, it stands for purity, clearity, masculinity (in Japan for example), even mourning, or something holy. In fashion white as well has many faces, whether it’s playful dresses, clean and edgy cuts, or elegant business wear. I always come back to incorporating white pieces into my outfits, because not only are they super easy to combine, but they also upgrade every look in an instant – especially if you wear them as an all-white outfit. With that kind of look, we often find ourselves wondering how to combine white and white, but I can promise you: it’s actually quite easy! Last I already had compiled some tips for styling all-white looks for winter, and now I have even more fashion hacks to wear the lightest of colors for you:

Elevate your look with trend pieces

If you are a white clothes lover like me, the current autumn/winter fashion will come in handy for you, because white boots are all the rage right now. Whether they’re ankle boots, over the knee or calf high boots, choose footwear in white or off-white to incorporate the trend into your outfit. What’s more, it’s easy to upgrade your all-white look by including trendy cuts and materials, for example, leather pieces, tulle skirts, or statement sleeves for fall/winter 2019!

Create a whimsical white look with flowing garments

White works best with flowing cuts and loose-fitting pieces; oversized items will look cool in white as well. Bodycon or tight-fitting garments might look a bit like you’re dressing for your job at a doctor’s office. That’s why when going for all-white in winter, I like to wear midi skirts, chunky knits, and a-line coats.

Top it off with black and white

In last year’s blog post I wrote about how white doesn’t equal white and how the combination of different shades of white will make your outfit look elegant. If you like to break down your all-white look, pair it with black/white pieces. This works especially well with black and white accessories like bags, belts, or shoes.
