From time to time, I like to challenge myself stylewise and set some goals I want to achieve when creating an outfit. This time, I thought about how I didn’t shop for clothes as much this summer, because I rather invested in traveling. But that’s okay – after all, I have a lot of beautiful garments hanging in my closet, and I bet you have, too! Therefore, this post isn’t about styling the newest trend items, but how to create a stylish summer outfit with pieces you’ve already had in your wardrobe for some time and love.
That floral feeling
I’m quite sure everyone of us owns at least one floral dress, whether it’s a mini, midi, or maxi. Throw it on and you’re technically good to go – or take your time, read on and put a little more effort into your look…
Heart and sole
Shoes are an essential part of an outfit! Elevate your look with a pair of chic heeled sandals that I’m sure are standing in your shoe closet for summer weddings and the like, or opt for some embellished flats, for example mules, sandals, or slides.
Shine bright
Bags, like shoes, work wonders transforming an outfit. For summer, I love bright, colorful bag which you might have one, too, or bags made of typical summery materials like straw, wicker, or canvas.
A little extra: Never a bad hair day
Add a little trend vibe and make your outfit special by wearing a hair accessory that you might already own, or alternatively find a bandana or a cute scarf to wear in your hair. Your look will instantly go from “cute summer dress” to “fashionable outfit”. I actually planned on wearing my pink H&M headband for this look, but totally forgot about it!
Now you’re nearly ready! I love to complete my outfit with a pair of statement sunglasses, my favorite jewelry and a cute, summery lipstick shade. Et voilà!

Von Zeit zu Zeit stelle ich mich selbst gern vor eine kleine Herausforderung, wenn es um Mode und die Zusammenstellung von Outfits geht. Dieses Mal habe ich darüber nachgedacht, dass ich diesen Sommer weniger für Kleidung ausgegeben, sondern eher in Reisen investiert habe. Aber macht nichts, schließlich habe ich einen ganzen Kleiderschrank voller schöner Stücke, und das habt ihr sicherlich auch! Heute geht es daher nicht darum, die neuesten Trendsachen zu stylen, sondern ein stilvolles Sommeroutfit mit den Dingen zusammenzustellen, die ihr schon längere Zeit im Schrank habt und liebt.
Florales Gefühl
Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass jeder von uns mindestens ein Kleid mit Blumenmuster besitzt, sei es Mini, Midi oder Maxi. Damit seid ihr im Handumdrehen gut angezogen – für ein modisches Outfit fehlen vielleicht noch ein paar Details. Lest einfach weiter...
Schuhliebe
Schuhe sind ein wichtiger Teil jedes Looks! Macht euer Outfit mit schicken Sandalette, die ihr bestimmt für Sommerhochzeiten oder ähnliches im Schrank habt, zu etwas Besonderem. Alternativ funktionieren auch verzierte flache Schuhe, zum Beispiel Mules, Slipper oder Sandalen, prima zum Sommerkleid.
Farbtupfer
Wie Schuhe wirken Taschen Wunder, um einen Look aufzuwerten. Für Sommer liebe ich helle, farbenfrohe Taschen, von denen vielleicht auch eine bei euch im Schrank steht oder welche aus typisch sommerlichen Materialien wie Stroh, Korb oder Canvas.
Kleines Extra: Bad Hair Day adé
Trotz bereits vorhandener Bestandteile etwas trendiger wird euer Outfit mit Haar-Accessoires, die ihr vielleicht auch schon zuhause habt. Ansonsten greift einfach zu einem Bandana oder Tuch, um es im Haar zu tragen und verwandelt euren Look im Handumdrehen von “süßes Sommerkleid” in “stilbewusstes Outfit”. Ich wollte hierzu eigentlich noch meinen rosa H&M-Haarreif tragen, aber hab’s einfach vergessen!
Fast fertig! Mein Outfit runde ich gerne noch mit einer Statement-Sonnenbrille, meinem liebsten Schmuck und einer sommerlichen Lippenstiftfarbe ab. Et voilà!
Was denkt ihr darüber, einfach mal im Kleiderschrank nach Sachen zu suchen, die ihr schon länger habt, und daraus einen Look ohne “aktuelle” Stücke zu machen? Für was würdet ihr euch entscheiden?
