Winter Fashion Trend Alert: Capes

Not all heroes wear capes, but fashionistas do this season! For winter 2019/2020, your outerwear wardrobe isn’t complete without one of the stylish, loose, swaying coats. Not only are they super warm and cozy, but add something incredibly elegant and stylish to your outfit. Am I the only one who always feels the urge to combine capes with a muff? They just both have that retro chic vibe to them. Plus, capes are really easy to style – here are three outfit ideas for your winter wardrobe:

1. The trend alert intensifies: pair your cape with leather pants!

Interlace two of the biggest autumn/winter trends and throw a cape over your favorite pair of leather leggings plus a shirt or knit.


2. Flowing and feminine: combine your favorite midi dress with a cape

Create a whimsical, girly look with a floral midi dress styled with a winter cape. I recommend streamlining your silhouette with a belt and some high-heeled boots.


3. Layering 4.0: double your outerwear

Prove to be a fashion pro by wearing a cape over a coat! You want to make sure it isn’t your warmest, bulkiest jacket but rather a slim-fitting piece of outerwear for your look to be flattering like this, it will make for extra warmth AND stylishness!

Not all heroes wear capes, aber die Fashionistas in dieser Saison schon! Dein Kleiderschrank ist für den Winter 2019/2020 ohne einen der stylischen, lässig schwingenden Mäntel nicht vollständig. Capes sind nicht nur kuschelig warm und gemütlich, sondern auch unglaublich elegant und werten dein Outfit auf. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass ich bei einem Cape sofort an die Kombi mit einem Muff denke – beide haben einen super schicken Retro-Vibe. Darüber hinaus sind Capes auch noch easy zu stylen! Dafür habe ich drei Ideen für Winter-Outfits aufgeschrieben:

1. Doppelter Trendalarm: Style dein Cape mit einer Lederhose!

Verknüpfe zwei der größten Herbst/Winter Trends und wirf ein Cape über einen lässigen Look aus Lederleggings und Shirt oder Pulli.


2. Fließend und feminin: Kombiniere dein liebstes Midikleid zum Cape

Kreiere ein verspieltes und mädchenhaftes Outfit mit einem floralen, mittellangen Kleid plus Winter-Cape. Damit der Look nicht zu walla-walla wird, wirken ein Taille betonender Gürtel und Stiefel mit hohem Absatz Wunder.


3. Layering 4.0: Doppelte Jacke hält besser

Deinen Sinn für Fashion stellst du diese Saison unter Beweis, wenn du ein Cape über einen Mantel layerst. Das sollte nicht der wärmste und voluminöseste Mantel sein, sonder eher ein eng anliegendes Piece, um den Michelin-Männchen-Look zu umgehen.
